The often performed surgeries include the remodeling prominent ear and ear lobe as well as the ear reduction. The prominent ear results from the high angle between the head and the ear and the underdeveloped upper fold of the ear. It is recommended to be operated in the pre-school term in order to prevent the taunting during school ages. Thus, s/he does not have self-esteem problems. Unilateral or bilateral surgery may be performed. It may be performed under general or local anesthesia.
