Chin Reduction 

The surgery is performed under general anesthesia or local + sedation. It takes approximately 1 hour. The incisions are made under the chin or within the mouth. If made within the mouth, the risk of bacterial contamination is higher but there is no visible scar. Afterwards, the chin bone is cut, minimized, reshaped and fixed with plates and screws.

Are they safe? 
They are quite safe with permanent results. They may have several complications. The rate of injection is much less, as no foreign body is inserted. Chewing may be painful and swelling may take longer to resolve due to the bone recovery, i.e. bone union, period.

Result 
Both surgeries enhance self-confidence and sociability in the individual. The additional interventions, such as nose job, facial lift, lip augmentation, should be recalled during the patient evaluation.
